All Faith Food Bank: Bowls of Hope
This case study is a bit of a journey in trying to capture what All Faith Foodbank wanted with its goal.

Bowls of Hope
For this case study, I focused on one of All Faith Foodbank's signature events; Bowls of Hope. This event features many artists and restaurants from the community where more than 1,500 guests can attend and keep handcrafted bowls while also enjoying a meal.

My goal for this project is to help carry the message All Faith Foodbank wants to get across, "together with our partners, we provide healthy solutions to end hunger in our community."

INITIAL RESEARCH AND SKETCHES
Based on my initial research, I knew I wanted the tone to be inviting and positive, to get people to want to go to this event. I also wanted to capture the sense of togetherness.

NOTES
Originally was planning on doing collage-style 2D animation but am now going forward with a 3D approach
Overall the original concepts felt expected, so thinking about how visual metaphors would help carry the message that will be portrayed
Capturing a sense of magic with 3D bowls floating upwards, creating more interesting dynamic compositions
Still want the tone to be fun and positive

Based on these notes I had received from the different approaches I admit I was a bit nervous because I am more comfortable with 2D work rather than 3D, but the idea sounded really fitting for what the client wanted. Not only that, it sounded exciting to work on too!

Moving Forwards
The first challenge was thinking about how I wanted these bowls to move, I wanted them to feel inviting and magical, so I studied how certain things would move in the wind. From there, I found that references to leaves, feathers, and paper in the air were what IÂ wanted to try to emulate. Now the next step
BUT... HOW DO I DO THAT?
I'll be honest, I have not touched Cinema4D in a while, so getting back into it was a bit scary. After modeling several bowls it was just a matter of how to animate them. I researched different methods in getting the desired result that would portray the sense of wonder that I wanted to encompass.

C4D RENDERS
WHAT I NOTICED
After getting more into the project I had to remember what was expected, these renders will be used on social media pages, like Instagram or Facebook, most commonly seen on people's phones. The renders I had been making so far were pulled a bit too far backward, meaning that when people looked at them on their phones, they would be even smaller. Keeping this in mind, I found interesting moments within my renders and found my final products.
